Hypocrisy in action...
Fat Britain: News that McDonalds sponsored a team of British MPs to go to Portugal to play football at the start of the Euro 2004 championships while the government is considering how best to curb obesity led political commentators to search the thesaurus for the right noun.
Hypocrisy? Stupidity? Freebie? Whatever the correct way of describing whatever it was that the MP footballers were up to, at the time of writing they have proved to be remarkably reluctant to come on camera and discuss what exactly they were thinking when they accepted the McFreebie. We're on the case.
